Molly is our 3D art specialist, with a first class honours degree in Augmented and Virtual Reality from Staffordshire University, a certificate in Virtual Production from the Academy of Live Technology. She has also completed the Game Republic Graduate Work Ready Games Industry Bootcamp. She is currently part of the Art Team for Panda Cat Games, ahead of the launch of their first game, Heartwood Village (and also runs their social media!), and an expert speaker for Game Academy.
She specialises in creating stylised low poly environments and assets/props for virtual, augmented and mixed/extended reality, platforms that require lower file sizes (mobile and Switch), and semi-realism for VR, virtual production and 3D games. Her work has featured in experimental short films, games and VR experiences. She is comfortable either designing artwork from scratch or using existing/library assets, depending timescales and budgets, and is used to turning 2D concept art into 3D models.
She’s an Unreal Engine specialist, but also works with companies that use Unity. She 3D models in both Maya and Blender, and uses Substance Painter and Photoshop for texturing.
In addition, she has some specialist skills and experience in motion capture, 3D scanning, animation, Vive ecosystem, video editing, lighting (both virtual and in a studio), and acting as both a VP technician and supervisor.
She is used to working to deadlines, briefs, and as part of a design/art team, as well as independently, and understands design workflows and pipelines. She is particularly good at picking up art styles, keeping an eye on poly counts, and problem solving.
In her spare time, she enjoys learning new skills, techniques and software, creating her own designs, taking part in Game Jams, and building her own games.

- Blender office scene (3D)I’ve been 3D modeling in Maya since 2019 but as my 2026 new years resolution I decided to learn Blender too. Especially to join the 3D team at Panda Cat Games. I game myself a weekend to build a low-poly stylised office environment. Everything is made in Blender and then imported into Unreal Engine for… Read more: Blender office scene (3D)
- Global Game Jam2025 (2D and 3D)Designing, creating and building a mini game in 48 hours! I took part in the Global Game Jam 2025 as part of a team with 5 current Games students from Staffordshire University. The theme was ‘bubbles’ and we chose to create a level-based, mini-game (with 8 levels) in Unreal Engine.
- Escape from Underrock (3D) – game DemoCreated in 4 weeks for a Game Republic/NextGen Skills Academy Bootcamp & Game Republic Event This is a vertical slice demo of a game that I made as part of a team during the Game Republic and NextGen Skills Academy Bootcamp, over a month, with the aim of demoing it at the first Game Republic event of 2025 in York.
- Experimental 3D Environment & Level Design WorkIn my spare time, I like to experiment with creating my own environments using a mix of asset packs and handmade assets, in order to keep learning and perfecting my skills.
- Down the Rabbit Hole into Virtual ProductionAfter doing the Certificate in Virtual Production at the Academy of Live Technology over the summer of 2023, I wanted to use what I’d learnt and experiment with getting an actor to interact with a virtual environment in a VP studio.
- VR TARDISWhat fosters effective teamwork? It’s not just about grouping individuals together and hoping for the best. It’s about cultivating an environment where trust, open communication, mutual respect, and a shared vision converge.
- The Last Xplorers (professional VP short Film)In order to complete the (Level 3) Certificate in Virtual Production at the Academy of Live Technology, and demonstrate what we’d learnt, we had to get into teams and make a a short video in 3 weeks, with a 1-day shoot in the VP studio.
- Car Maintainance VR ProjectGroup Project – VR Car Maintainance This is a group project where I predominantly did art but there were no set roles. One of the other team members sourced a car model online but it had a lot of topology issues with holes and overlapping faces. So I went and fixed all the issues and… Read more: Car Maintainance VR Project
- Hyper Reality Escape Room (MR & VR)Hyper Reality – VR and Hand-Tracking Escape Room This project was a technology based project where I had to use more than just the Vive ecosystem. Therefore I also used spacial audio and a leap motion hand tracker. I based this project on Winx Club which is something I liked from childhood. But I also… Read more: Hyper Reality Escape Room (MR & VR)
- Motion CaptureMotion Capture – Action Sequence This was a motion capture project for one of my second year modules. I recorded myself in the mo-cap suit doing all the action seen in this video. Then I had to fix any issues and blend the movements together using Motion Builder. Then I imported the movement into Unreal… Read more: Motion Capture
- Second Year University Work (VR & AR)VR Arch Viz Cafe (including photogrammetry) This is my second year Architectural Visualisation project. We had to build a cafe with 3 distinct themes and 3 variations of every asset
- VR Witch GameVR Witches Layer This is my first year game where we learned how to do the whole process of developing for VR. We started with concepts and block models to modelling all the assets and then blueprinting to make the game work. This was meant to be a puzzle game and my concept was making… Read more: VR Witch Game
